How do we reconstruct an application that the Explosive Ordnance and Demolition (EOD) command had relied upon for four years with absolutely no help from the original development team? How do we reconstruct all the data that has been stored — from scratch? Most importantly, how do we do this in four months? That was our challenge. We delivered both the application and database on time and budget. The entire EOD community now uses EODRP (Explosive Ordnance and Demolition Readiness Program) to manage their day-to-day operations. During the coming year, it will be expanded to analyze deployment tempo metrics, assist with supply and ordering, and deliver team logistic functionality. Additionally, EODRP will provide command with up-to-the-minute readiness calculations using the Navy’s most secure networks.
